I had a lovely stay for a night with my family. we really enjoyed the classic creaky floors and the cozy ambiance of our double guest room. The outdoor seating area was perfect for sunny evenings, and the restaurant served some amazing meals that blew us away. Just a heads up, the check-in process felt a bit strange when they mentioned something about new ownership, but it didn't dampen our overall great experience! 😊

I had a truly delightful experience during my stay, thanks to the incredibly friendly staff who went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The location is perfect for outdoor activities, and the locally sourced meals were excellent. My room was not only clean but also very comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. the menu could benefit from having more diverse options to choose from.

We had a splendid stay at this lovely hotel during our family trip! The central location made it super easy to explore the beautiful surroundings and we loved the local activities like golf and walks. Staff were friendly and attentive, really enhancing our experience.
My children wished for a bit more variety in the kids' menu at the restaurant.

i recently stayed here for two nights, and it exceeded my expectations from my previous visits to grantown-on-spey. the atmosphere was luxurious with a cozy lounge and a fantastic restaurant offering tasty dishes. the mini fridge and coffee machine in the double guest room were particularly handy during my stay.
breakfast lacked fresh options and variety.

Unique lounge space with real fire, Impressive gin selection, Availability of outdoor spaces
The shower curtain had stains and the plumbing left much to be desired!!! Rooms are way too cramped, making it awkward for anyone traveling with more than one bag!!!

The cozy lounge area with an open fire creates a welcoming atmosphere after a day of exploring. The dining experience includes tasty local dishes that hit the spot, particularly the haggis and salmon.
The hotel itself is showing signs of wear. paintwork is peeling and the carpets are looking tired. Breakfast options were limited, with overcooked eggs and a lack of fresh fruit. The bar ran out of common drinks like lager and pino grigio, leaving us with fewer options. Climbing the steps to our room was challenging, especially with luggage, and the overall cleaning could be improved, with reports of dirty shower curtains and unmade beds upon returning.

will definitely go again next time
Had a lovely double guest room with heating, a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle, and complimentary toiletries like shampoo and body soap. The bar had a nice selection of gin, and breakfast included perfectly poached eggs. The staff was helpful and made sure our stay was comfortable. Plus, there’s a spacious parking area.

Had a cracking time munching on Hungarian beef stew – just delightful! The staff were proper legends, always making sure we felt welcome. And the complimentary chocolates on Valentine's day? Absolute cherry on top!
Now, onto the cheeky bit, the menu was tighter than a drum, only five mains for our three-night stay, no specials to spice it up! And let's not forget, the kitchen called it quits early on our first night. dessert was a no-go, though they did make it up the next eve.

We spent two nights in the Double Guest Room. The beds comforted us wonderfully. Fresh towels and toiletries were a nice touch. The shower worked really well, delivering hot water consistently. Breakfast impressed with a solid choice. I particularly loved the Scottish option. Staff were attentive, delivering prompt service. the bar could use some mood lighting. it felt a bit too bright and lacked a cozy vibe. On the first night, we noticed the kitchen closed early, limiting our dining options. We were also disappointed with only five mains listed over our entire stay. This tight menu didn't excite us. It's a shame, as the food quality could be better if there were more diverse offerings. The surroundings were lovely, perfect for outdoor activities.
